Refund policy for CodeRabbit subscriptions

Context

Generally, CodeRabbit subscriptions are not refundable. That said, refunds may be issued at CodeRabbit's discretion, as outlined in our Terms of Service. We review every refund request and will help depending on the circumstances. This article provides additional information about refund requests.

Why your refund request may have been declined

We review each refund request carefully. While we want to help with every request, refunds usually are not possible. If your request was not approved, it is likely because we deemed ineligible after our careful review.

Please see the eligibility guidelines in this article. Common reasons for us to decline a refund request include:

  • Cancellation occurred more than 24 hours after purchase.

  • The subscription was actively used during the billing period.

  • The request does not come from a person authorized to make the request.

Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Subscription page in the CodeRabbit app. Cancellation stops future charges, and you will retain premium access until the end of your current billing period. Please note that cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund.

Refund eligibility guidelines

This section provides guidelines around refund eligibility. Again, in most cases, CodeRabbit subscriptions are not refundable. While we review every refund request, refunds may be issued at CodeRabbit's discretion, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

We are more likely to grant a refund when:

  • You cancel the subscription within 24 hours of the initial signup.

  • Usage of the subscription was blocked due to issues determined to be caused by the CodeRabbit product, rather than customer-side setup, configuration, or external dependencies.

  • You are an authorized Admin or Billing Admin on the account.

Requesting a refund

Please contact CodeRabbit support with your refund request. Include:

  • Your name & role title (e.g. John Smith, Director of AI Engineering)

  • Your email address

  • Your company or organization name

  • Reason for the refund request

Please note that if you request a refund more than 24 hours after purchase, we are unlikely to approve your request.

Refund processing

Subscriptions purchased with a credit card through CodeRabbit

We will issue refunds only to the original credit card used at purchase. Credit card refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, but processing times may vary depending on the issuing bank.

Subscriptions purchased through a third-party marketplaces

If your subscription was purchased through a third-party marketplace (e.g., GitHub Marketplace), all billing and refund requests must be handled directly through that marketplace. CodeRabbit does not have the ability to issue refunds for marketplace purchases.
